About Us

We are a hand silk screen printer based in Norfolk, UK with many years experience in printing for some of the very best names in wallpaper design. Robert Hamlin-Wright established the company in 1990 with the aim of providing designers and wholesalers with a modern and flexible printing service enabling the possibility of generating new products without the inherent problems of holding stock.  Robert’s background in the fashion and furnishing industries dates back to 1976, when he hand screen-printed fabric for all the leading couture fashion houses.

In 2005, The Art of Wallpaper launched it’s first collection of wallpaper by Belynda Sharples which combined her uniquely creative talent of drawing and pattern making with her partner, Robert’s printing skills. In 2012, The Art of Wallpaper worked with internationally acclaimed artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz on a new wallpaper design, commissioned by Tate Modern for inclusion in the exhibition, ‘A Bigger Splash’.

A new wallpaper pattern book showcasing Belynda Sharples’ most popular designs along with her two most recent designs, pigs and budgies will be available at specialist retailers from March 2013.
