belynda sharples

Belynda produced her first collection in 2005 for The Art of Wallpaper. Launched at 100% Design that year the designs received huge acclaim.

Further designs including, Countryside Toile, Sheep and Chickens are now available and feature in a new book, Collection II

Belynda's designs have emerged from a lifetime of drawing and observing the everyday. Commonplace objects and situations have been lifted from sketchbooks and carefully placed to create patterns that have natural balance and style.

The designs neither reference the historical nor rely upon ideas generated by computers, and therefore, a distinctly individual flavour is created by the drawn line.

Designs emerge with a quality that is wholly the designers own. The appeal is wide ranging.

'Leaning on the domestic side of life, she manages to turn even the most banal subjects into worthy muses for wallpapers'.
